Smart Grid Applied in Denmark 2011Invest in Denmark, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Transport Innovation Network and the Renewable Energy Innovation Network (VE-Net) hosted an international conference on Smart Grid Applied in Denmark from 24-26 October 2011. The conference was held at two locations in Copenhagen.

Smart Grid Applied in Denmark from 24-26 October. Opening of conference at the Danish Technological Institute on the 24th of October.The conference was opened by the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Buildings and was held at the Danish Technological Institute. On the opening day more than 140 participants took part in the workshops.


The conference attracted companies from the United States and Europe.

Denmark is interesting for foreign companies as the country has almost twice the renewable energy in its grid than any other country - over 20 per cent from wind alone.

It is rapidly transforming its electricity system into a system where flexible demand will enable more RE and a cleaner energy sector.
